51³Ô¹ÏÍø

Chris Price is the Chief Operating Officer of the Australian National 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, leading all professional and service functions across the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in support of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's strategy. Chris's portfolio responsibilities include coordination of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's budget, resource allocation and strategic planning, as well as the delivery of essential services such as finance, people and culture, and physical and digital infrastructure. Chris is also responsible for the development and implementation of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's engagement. This includes communications and marketing, international strategy and relationships, and ANU engagement with government and the Commonwealth.

Chris was appointed COO in 2023, after serving as Chief of Staff, Head of the Vice-Chancellor's Portfolio and Director of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor at ANU. Prior to joining ANU in 2016, Chris spent four years as Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff to the Vice-Chancellor at the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø of Newcastle, NSW. Chris began his career in the UK and spent eight years in leadership roles at the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø of London, including four years managing international relations for the UCL Institute of Education.

Chris completed his undergraduate degree at the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø of Warwick, holds an MBA in Higher Education Management from the UCL Institute of Education at the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø of London, and was awarded the Public Leadership Credential (with distinction) from the Harvard Kennedy School. He also holds qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
