Judges
Professor Maryanne Dever is ANU Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Digital) and is recognised for her research in feminist literary studies and critical archival studies. Her most recent book is Paper, Materiality and the Archived Page (2019). She also has on-going research interests in the areas of gender, work, and higher education. She co-edits the journal Australian Feminist Studies.
Tracy Nearmy has worked for numerous publications throughout Australia and overseas over the past 20 years. She graduated from the Queensland College of Art (Grifith 51³Ô¹ÏÍø) with a Bachelor's Degree in Photojournalism, and has received national recognition for her work in Cross Projections, the Reportage Photojournalism Festival and at the Walkley Slide Nights. She is currently based in Canberra working with the Australian National 51³Ô¹ÏÍø team, and specialises in editorial and sports, as well as works with clients in the disability sector and NGO's. Tracey is a member of Australian photojournalism collective AUSWIP and fotostrada. In 2012, she won the Head On Portrait Prize and has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions throughout her career.
Evana Ho works in communications in the ANU College of Arts & Social Sciences. She has engaged in storytelling across audio, photography, and video over the past 15 years, and through the written word for as long as she can remember. Julie Kimpton is the Senior Professional Markets Manager at Nikon Australia and has over 20 years' experience within specialist areas of the imaging industry. She provides sales, technical support and imaging solutions to Press, Police, Government, commercial clients and runs specialist training, events, and educational activities. She ran her own photographic business "Flash photography" for many years, is a keen artist, and loves the process of creating beautiful images and assisting others with technical solutions to achieve optimal outcomes.
