The Destination Australia Cheung Kong Exchange Program (DACKEP) 

This grant supports Australian universities to offer mobility scholarship opportunities for outbound students from Australia and inbound students from Asia.The Destination Australia Cheung Kong Exchange Program is a joint funding initiative of the Australian Government and the .The program is intended to strengthen the engagement between Australian 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and our counterparts in Asia by supporting student exchange between them. The Australian National 51³Ô¹ÏÍø is participating in the DACKEP for Round 4. ANU students participating in exchange in Semester 2, 2025 at the partner institutions listed below are eligible to apply for this opportunity.  

Eligibility 

Students who have submitted an application for exchange in semester 2, 2025 that includes a preference of one (or more) of the institutions listed above are eligible to apply for this grant.  

Students must also meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for exchange:  

• be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident; 

• be enrolled at a participating Australian university; and, 

• have not previously been supported by grant funding under the DACKEP program. 

Students undertaking CAP's Year-in-Asia program at any of the partners listed above are not eligible to receive DACKEP.  

Application Process 

The number and amount of grants awarded will determined according to the assessment of the applications up to a maximum amount of AUD$8,000.00. ANU Global Programs has determined that the assessment of applications will be conducted against the criteria of:  

• Financial need or hardship; 

• Exchange purpose and opportunity.

The application process for DACKEP will run concurrently with general applications for exchange in Semester 2, 2025.  

• Applications open: 1 November 2024 

• Applications close: 30 November 2024 

Following the close of applications for DACKEP Round 4, initial eligibility checks will be conducted.  

Final selection of successful grant awardees will be conducted following the release of host university allocations for exchange in Semester 2, 2025. Students will be contacted via their ANU student email address regarding the outcome of their application.
