Balson Prize in Materialism and Protoconsciousness
Each year the School of Philosophy may offer an award known as the Balson Prize in Materialism and Protoconsciousness ("the award"). The prize is awarded annually to the student who has submitted the best piece of written work in the area of Materialism and Protoconsciousness.
Funding for this award has been provided by Mr Dennis Balson, an independent scholar with an interest in the philosophy of consciousness.
