The Toni Makkai Prize for Excellence in Criminology is to recognise and reward academic excellence in Criminology.

Overview
Funding for this prize has been provided by Emeritus Professor Toni Makkai, former Dean of the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (2008-2016), and Director of the Australian Institute of Criminology (2003-2008). Under her stewardship as College Dean, Professor Makkai was instrumental in the development and creation of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's undergraduate criminology program.
The Prize was established in 2017.
