Make Orange Jam and Preserved Lemons: a Kitchen Garden Workshop
This workshop is for ANU students (no cost but booking is essential).
Learn how to make jam and preserves while making some yummy sweet orange jam and savoury preserved lemons and take some home with you.
Winter time is citrus time and it's the best time to eat and preserve oranges and lemons! There's lots of ways to store fruit when there's an abundance of it in season, and understanding how jams and preserves work is key to taking advantage of cheap and fresh and readily available fruit to enjoy in times when it is not in season.
This workshop is hands on, practical and could be messy so please wear clothes that can get messy. For hygiene reasons, you must wear shoes and long hair must be tied back.
If you are sick, please do not attend the workshop.
