All valid requests will be acknowledged within 14 calendar days of receipt of the request. ANU aims to assist all applicants in making valid requests and will contact the applicant as soon as possible to clarify their request if necessary.
ANU endeavors to pro-actively engage and liaise with applicants throughout FOI processing; identifying as soon as possible when this may not be feasible and keeping the applicant informed of progress. If you have any questions about an FOI application, please contact foi@anu.edu.au.
Please Note: ANU is currently experiencing an increase in FOI requests and this is impacting on our ability to address requests within minimum processing times.
If you are lodging a request it is most likely that the current increase in requests will require that ANU will seek extensions from applicants (as per FOI Act s 15AA ) or, where appropriate, seek an extension of time from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
